Transaction dimensions

Each transaction in Bricknode belongs to a certain dimension.

The default transaction dimensions used by BFS are:

• Trade ("T")

• Settle ("S")

• Accounting ("A")

• Accrued Interest ("AI")

An account within Bricknode can house several transactions each belonging to a certain dimension which means that an account will have a separate balance per dimension.

For example, a cash deposit might have been applied to an account with the Trade Date being today and the Settlement Date being tomorrow. This means that the cash can be used today for trading but it cannot be withdrawn until after tomorrow.
