Account Type Limitations

Account type limitation allows you to set which account types are permitted to trade a specific instrument.

Navigate to an instrument > tab "Account Type Limitations"
Click the action menu to "Activate" and "Manage" the limitations.

Select which accounts to enable trading for, in this example, we enable trading on holding accounts.

When trying to trade the instrument on a limited account, the user will receive the message: The account type has no permission to trade the product.

If you transfer an instrument to a limited account type, the admin user will be notified when trying to transfer the instrument. You can always override this notification by clicking “Ignore validation.”
