Re-try functionality
If you have configured your workflows so that the settlement files from various payment service providers are delivered BEFORE the reference objects like accounts or orders etc. are created in Broker you might not want to book those transactions as unmatched but rather wait a number of days before transactions are considered to be unmatched. The re-try functionality in Deposit Manager makes this possible!
Configuration
For every payment service provider you can configure two settings which are called Number of re-try days and Number of accepted unmatched transactions.
If you set Number of accepted unmatched transactions to 0 the application will not import any transactions from a settlement file unless all of the transactions in the file can be matched towards accounts in Broker. If all cannot be matched the settlement file will be placed in the re-try que which will re-do the matching process every day at 05.00 UTC (as default time which can be configured too).
The re-try process will then do a new matching each day until all transactions can be matched or the number of days that were defined in the Number of re-try days are reached. Once the Number of re-try days are exceeded the remaining unmatched transactions will be booked into the defined exception account in Broker.
If a file is placed into the re-try que a task that looks like this will appear in the tasks section of Broker.
