BFS Version: 2.X
There are two properties to check whether an instrument is open for trading or not, "Status" and "Visible Status".
Status controls the listing of instruments. I.e. if an instrument is visible for a particular user. The property can take one of five values:
Status value | Description |
---|---|
Open | The instrument is visible for everyone. |
Open (Partner) | The instrument is visible in the backoffice module and in the advisor module, but not in the customer front module. |
Open (Admin) | The instrument is visible in the backoffice module only. |
Closed | The instrument is not visible to anyone, but can be "reopened" from the backoffice module by selecting the "Closed" status in the instrument listing and editing the instrument. |
Removed | The instrument is removed from all system modules but remains in the database in order to keep data integrity for historical orders, transactions and positions. |
Visible status controls the visibility of trade buttons, i.e. whether an instrument is tradable. When an instrument is in "Phone" status the buttons for trading will open a dialog box with information on how to perform a phone order.
