3. Creating a customer

Before an order can be placed for a customer the customer has to be created.

In the automatic flow from the onboarding form or from the e-store the customer will be created in Bricknode Broker automatically via the API but there are also ways to create a customer manually which is described here: How to create a user

Once the customer is created we need to create a Holding Account for the customer which is described in detail here: Create an account in Bricknode

If the customer should be linked to an advisor we need to first create the advisor which is done by navigating to the Partners section of the main menu.

After that we can create a Power Of Attorney for the account linked to the advisor where the permission level of the POA should be “Trade”. https://bricknode.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/143622280

Finally we should make sure that the customer is linked to the right advisor by navigating to Details of the customer and linking to the right advisor as the video below describes:
