Instrument Status

BFS Version: 2.X

There are two properties to check whether an instrument is open for trading or not, "Status" and "Visible Status".

Status controls the tradability of instruments. I.e. if an instrument is possible to trade for a particular type of user. The property can take one of five values:

OpenThe trade buttons are visible on instrument for everyone.
Open (Partner)The trade buttons are visible on instrument in the backoffice module and in the advisor module, but not in the customer front module.
Open (Admin)The trade buttons are visible on instrument in the backoffice module only.
ClosedThe instrument can not be traded by anyone, but can be "reopened" from the backoffice module by selecting the "Closed" status in the instrument listing and editing the instrument.
RemovedThe instrument is removed from all system modules but remains in the database in order to keep data integrity for historical orders, transactions and positions.
