This section describes new functionality and changes in existing functionality.

Updated account return calculation

We have implemented an updated account return calculation which works in the following manner.

Each day a starting value is established, in this balance the closing position values from the previous day are included together with any transfers that are made during the current day. If there are instrument transfers made the value of those positions will be included with the market value of the previous days close.

The ending value is then used which includes all the positions at the close of the day. The difference between the ending value and the starting value is the absolute return for the day. The absolute return is then divided by the starting value to get the percentage return for the day.

The absolute returns are then aggregated for each day to establish the performance chart. In the same way, the percentage return is aggregated to produce the accumulated return for the period. This is not to be confused with the cumulative return.

New settings in GUI

IBAN

When creating an account there is possible to add IBAN (International Bank Account Number). The setting is also visible when viewing the details on the account by clicking on . We also added this property to the methods Get, Create, and UpdateAccounts.

Parent Company

We added a new setting called Parent Company on Legal Entities to the type company in some API-methods. This new setting can also be found in the system under Details > Legal Information.

Custodian/Depåinstitut

On companies, it's possible to add a setting if the company is a custodian. This setting is available on the Details tab. The possibility to add this in API will come in a further release.

BB-75 - Switch orders - not possible to select the account when doing a switch order when you had POA on the account. You could see the account but not select it. This is now fixed. (Support-5559)
