Each transaction in Bricknode Financial Systems ("BFS") belongs to a certain dimension.

The default transaction dimensions used by BFS are:

• Trade ("T")
• Settle ("S")
• Accounting ("A")
• Accrued Interest ("AI")

An account within BFS can house several transactions each belonging to a certain dimension which means that an account will have a separate balance per dimension.

For exampel, a cash deposit might have been applied to an account with Trade Date being today and Settlement Date being tomorrow. This means that the cash can be used today for trading but it cannot be withdrawn until after tomorrow.
