Status controls the tradability of instruments. I.e. if an instrument is possible to trade for a particular type of user. The property can take one of five values:
Status value | Description |
---|---|
Open | The trade buttons are visible on instrument for everyone. |
Open (Partner) | The trade buttons are visible on instrument in the backoffice module and in the advisor module, but not in the customer front module. |
Open (Admin) | The trade buttons are visible on instrument in the backoffice module only. |
Closed | The instrument can not be traded by anyone, but can be "reopened" from the backoffice module by selecting the "Closed" status in the instrument listing and editing the instrument. |
Removed | The instrument is removed from all system modules but remains in the database in order to keep data integrity for historical orders, transactions and positions. |
Visible status controls the visibility of the instrument, i.e. whether an instrument is shown in listings. When an instrument is in "Phone" status the buttons for trading will open a dialog box with information on how to perform a phone order.
